With solar
collection efficiencies as high as 93%, these direct heated vacuum tube solar
collector with distinctive horizontal mounting layout to
maximize seasonal efficiency, offer the highest solar
harvesting
performance rating on the market, as tested by SPF in Switzerland.
Direct
heated vacuum tube solar heating systems are suitable for
residential and housing projects, commercial applications such
as offices, sports facilities, hotels, hospitals and research
establishments, as well as industrial facilities such as laundry's,
washing plants and food processing factories to meet more demanding
process needs.
The ‘all-glass’ vacuum tubes
have no glass-to-metal seals, so there is no risk of a tube losing
its vacuum.
Infinitely scalable, systems
can be sized to meet your budget or carbon reduction requirement
and are a reliable and cost-effective investment
for any home or organisation.

'Heat-pipe'
vacuum tube collectors offer very good performance and good all-year
round solar collection
efficiencies in the 75-85% range.
The heat
pipe collection method requires the tubes to be mounted vertically
rather than horizontally and are suited for domestic and commercial
hot water applications providing free hot water for at least
25-years !
Systems are sold as complete kits, including all the parts and
accessories needed to integrate seamlessly into your existing hot
water system, or to form part of a new installation.
A
domestic solar hot water system usually takes a day to fit, requires
no scheduled maintenance and no user input once installed and will
save money from day one, helping you to protect the environment in
the process.

The
Solar Tracker has been specifically designed to offer UK and
Northern European households a highly efficient, cost effective and environmentally
friendly way to heat large volumes of DHW throughout the year where
surface area to demand ratios are too low for a fixed collector
system.
Energy gain from
collectors that track the sun are approx. double that of a fixed
collector array of the same area.
This means that for large commercial operations with high volume DHW
loads such as hotels, hospitals and pool heating, or for projects
where space is at a premium such as care homes or blocks of flats, a
smaller, cheaper system can be installed to generate the required
heat energy.
If you have a
larger pool or require the water at a higher temperature then the
modular system can be scaled up to meet your needs.

For a lower cost solar collector
solution consider
flat plate collectors.
Unlike vacuum tube collectors, they are sensitive to ambient
temperature conditions and whilst on hot summer days they can equal
the performance of Vacuum Tube collectors in winter, when
ambient temperatures fall they can be less effective,
thus
overall solar collection and system performance will be lower
than for vacuum tube systems.
Flat-plate
collection systems are ideal for outdoor swimming pool heating
applications where summer performance is the
prime consideration.
Solar conversion efficiencies are in the region of 60-75% hence a
larger collection area is generally required with flat plate
collector systems.
